COMING TO A RACE TRACK NEAR YOU
Keith Codes California Superbike School Holds it Last Class of the Year at Laguna Seca November 14-16
(Los Angeles, CA) Everyone wants to ride motorcycles these days, and understandably so. However, with the freedom of motorcycle ownership comes the responsibility to learn the techniques and technology of motorcycle riding. The last California Superbike School class of 2000, taking place at Laguna Seca from November 14-16, promises to showcase the most superior level of superbike rider training in the world to riders interested in bettering their riding techniques.
Riding is much more than the simple act of going around the track, says Keith Code, superbike racer and Founder of California Superbike School(CSS). Self-examination and supervision are absolutely necessary in order to improve ones performance. Thats what the training at California Superbike School is geared to address.
Keith has spent the last twenty years imparting his unique cornering techniques and instruction to both racers and street riders alike. His visit to the Laguna Seca racetrack, will be the final session of the year for the California Superbike School.
California Superbike School classes are best suited to riders who are interested in improving their skills and thereby raising their confidence level, says Keith. They like cornering their motorcycles, but run into panic situations which decreases their confidence. Cornering and confidence are key issues for California Superbike School and its students.
Keith's immensely popular Superbike School has improved the riding skills and techniques of 50,000 riders over the last 20 years, training everyone from movie stars to Hell's Angels to professional superbike champions. Recognized as the foremost motorcycle Riding Coach in the world, Keith Code founded CSS in 1980, with the goal of creating the most comprehensive school for the motorcycle enthusiast, from the neophyte to the professional racer. Since then, Keith has become a pioneer in the field of motorcycle training for a quarter of a century, implementing the first organized, advanced, step-by-step rider training format.
Aside from comprehensive training, CSS is breaking new ground by training a growing number of female riders. Recognizing that one in twelve motorcycle owners in the United States are now women, Code has recognized the need for all-women classes. Recently, CSS held an all day women only class, which drew national media attention to the growing number of female motorcycle riders. CSS will be offering several one-day womens only programs at select schools in 2001.
The quality and excellence of Keiths tutelage is exemplified in the sheer number of successful riders hes graduated. His California Superbike Schools (which now operate around the United States and in Australia and the United Kingdom) have trained more than 50,000 riders and created dozens of champions, more than any other school. Their school demonstrates a variety of useful biking techniques including the use of both a one-of-a-kind braking rig, and also a cornering barboth custom-designed by Keith Code. Participants also have the option to ride their own bikes, or one of the schools 2000 Kawasaki ZX-6s, which Code considers to be the best engineered and built brand in the world.
Riding, to Code, isnt about talent or pure skill; its about achieving a mindset that allows for success, that conquers negativity, and that focuses on ones own performance, independent of anyone else on the track. Codes philosophy is easily applied beyond biking to all efforts in life.
Media are invited to attend for the training and photo opportunities. Availabilities to experience on-track demonstrations for media are on a first-come basis.
