Keith Code’s Top Selling Books Provide Expert Riding Instruction During the Off-Season

(Los Angeles, CA) Every sport has an off-season, and motorcycle riding and training is no different. To make up for this lapse in training time and to assist riders is bettering their riding techniques, Keith Code, superbike racer and founder of the world renowned California Superbike School, has written three top-selling books to provide “off-the-track” instruction of motorcycle riding techniques. These educational resources make great holiday gift ideas, and are a must for building the confidence of any serious, or soon-to-be serious motorcycle rider.

Keith’s books and accompanying video cover a broad array of proven motorcycle riding technology with a special focus on cornering. They are designed to help the rider think about riding before, during, and after being on the track. “Riding is much more than the simple act of going around the track,” stresses Keith. “Self-examination and supervision are absolutely necessary in order to improve one’s performance. That is what my books are geared to address.”

“A Twist of the Wrist, volume I” is the world's foremost primer on motorcycle riding. Well written and illustrated, it contains everything from the five basic road designs, and how to handle them, to successful tips on braking, steering, cornering, reference points, sliding, and even how to fall. It has received more reviews, has been translated into more languages and sold more copies than any other book on motorcycling.
“A Twist of the Wrist, volume II” contains twenty-six new chapters of riding techniques, which name and solve the seven specific riding problems every rider faces. Rather than rehash material from the original “Twist”, Keith clearly describes the techniques used every time someone gets on a bike, and continues building rider confidence.

“The Soft Science of Road Racing Motorcyles” is an intimate look at the component parts of racing and what the racer must do to succeed. Thirteen chapters discuss riding, timing, traction, braking, corner speed and drive among other things. Written for racers only, it defines basic riding plans and provides hundreds of questions to supervise progress and trouble shoot any racing situation.

“The books and video are best suited to riders who are interested in improving their skills and thereby raising their confidence level,” says Keith. “They like cornering their motorcycles, but run into panic situations which decreases their confidence. Cornering and confidence are key issues for California Superbike School and its students.”

Recognized as the foremost motorcycle Riding Coach in the world, Keith Code has spent the last 20 years teaching 50,000 people how to corner motorcycles, including dozens of champions. In 1980, he founded the California Superbike School (CSS) with the goal of creating the most comprehensive school for the motorcycle enthusiast, from the neophyte to the professional racer. Since then, Keith has become a pioneer in the field of motorcycle training for a quarter of a century, implementing the first organized, advanced, step-by-step rider training format.

Keith has also appeared on dozens of TV and radio shows, and has been featured in numerous national publications, including Sports Illustrated and Playboy. Recently, Keith and CSS held a Women Only class, which drew national media attention. His extensive knowledge of the art of motorcycling coupled with his experience and philosophies make him as comfortable in the media spotlight as he is rounding a corner at 140 miles per hour.

Today, CSS offers up to 50 instructional programs annually at racetracks around the country, as well as several “off the track” training manuals and one instructional video, which complement the school’s philosophy and instructional technique. Keith has also developed several tools to assist riders in learning just how far they can lean into turns without tipping the bike over or sliding out. These tools, such as his patented “lean-and-slide” training bar, are actually attached to the bike(s), preventing injury while instructing at the same time.
